MEN'S LACROSSE UPENDS FELICIAN UNIVERSITY
Lyndhurst, N.J. (3/20/21) The Dominican College men's lacrosse team picked up their first win of the 2021 season with a 13-8 victory this evening in non-conference action against Felician University at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.

Following the win, Dominican is now 1-1 on the season.
Attacker Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tied his career high with five goals and added one assist to lead the Chargers.
Cole Vencack (Smithtown, N.Y.) also tied his career high with three goals, while William Gordon (Amityville, N.Y.) added two goals and one assist.
Freshman Connor Holland (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) tallied one goal and two assists in his collegiate debut, Luke Martini (Abington, Mass.) had one goal and one assist.
Lorcan Teahan (Sparkill, N.Y.) had the other Charger score and Marcos Pierce (Middleburg, Va.) added two assists.
Keeper Steffen Peabody (Brookhaven, N.Y.) made nine saves for the game.
Dominican opened the contest with the first two goals, the first coming just 37 seconds into the game from Gordon. A little over six minutes later, Carson struck for his first goal and Martini netted the last DC goal of the quarter to give them the 3-2 advantage.
The second quarter began with a 3-0 Charger run with goals off the sticks of Carson, Holland and Vencack. Following a Golden Falcon goal, Gordan made the score 7-3 with just under 12 minutes left in the quarter. Dominican closed out the quarter with consecutive scores from Carson to give DC the 9-4 lead at the break.
The Chargers outscored Felican 3-2 in the third as Vencack found the back of the net twice and Carson netted his fifth game goal to put them ahead 12-6.
In the final quarter Teahan opened the scoring with a goal with 10 and half minutes to play, while the Golden Falcons scored the final to goals for the final 13-8 score.
Dominican is slated to be in action on Wednesday afternoon when they host Georgian Court University in non-conference action at the Torne Valley Sports Complex. Game time is set for 4pm.
