Bridgeport, Conn. (4/18/26) The Dominican University New York men's lacrosse team fell to the University of Bridgeport in conference action.
After the loss, the Chargers fall to 4-11 overall and 1-6 in the CACC. The Purple Knights improve to 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the CACC.
Nicholas Creisher started in net for the Chargers and made seven saves but suffered the loss. Kyle Janks entered the game in the second half and made seven saves.
Bryce Layton also saw action in net for the Chargers.
Matthew Hughes made nine saves for the Purple Knights and picked up the win.
The Purple Knights scored 11 first half goals and held the Chargers to five first half goals.
Each team scored five times in the third frame including three goals by Steven Dupras.
Bridgport extended their lead in the fourth quarter as they outscored Dominican 6-1 on their way to the 22-11 victory.
Dupras scored a team-high five goals for the Chargers. Nickolas Paletta scored twice while Sean Cosgrove and Chad Keyser each scored one goal and dished out two assists each.
Rocco Albanese and Zachary Souza each added one goal.
The Chargers return home on Wednesday when they host Felician University in the season finale on O'Brien Field.
