CHARGERS UPEND FELICIAN IN SEASON FINALE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/22/26) The Dominican University New York men's lacrosse team completes the 2026 campaign with an 11-8 victory over the Golden Falcons of Felician University this afternoon on O'Brien Field.
Felician jumped in front early scoring the game's first three goals. Senior Sean Cosgrove got the Chargers on the board with back to back goals which pulled DU within one goal at the start of the second quarter.
Dominican shutout the Golden Falcons in the second quarter 4-0 and took a 6-3 lead into halftime.
The Chargers pushied their scoring run to eight unanswered as they extended their lead to 8-3 at the start of the third quarter.
Liam Dunn scored two unanswered for Felician to cut the Charger lead to 8-5.
The Chargers answered with two late goals to finish off the third quarter. Felician scored three goals in the fourth, but DU added one and held on for the 11-8 victory.
Cosgrove led the way with six points scoring a hat trick and dishing out three assists. Cosgrove also finished with three groundballs and caused two turnovers.
Nickolas Paletta and Steven Dupras each scored twice. Paletta also recorded two groundballs and one assist.
Evan Dupras picked up a goal and two assits while Chad Keyser scored one goal and picked up one assist.
Ian McDow and David Walter each found the back of the net once. Senior Ryan Gonzalez picked up a team-high six groundballs.
Starting goalkeeper Nicholas Creisher made 14 saves and picked up his fifth win on the season in net.
The Chargers complete the season with a single season team record in assists and points. Dominican finishes the 2026 campaign with an overall record of 5-11 and a CACC record of 2-6.
