MEN'S SOCCER BLANKS NYACK COLLEGE

Orangeburg, NY (9/29/10) The Dominican College men's soccer team blanked Nyack College, 4-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) clash at the DC Soccer Field.

Orangeburg, NY (9/29/10)  The Dominican College men's soccer team blanked Nyack College, 4-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) clash at the DC Soccer Field.

Sophomore forward Alex Rodier (Williamstown, NJ) netted his first of two goals on the day after midfielder Sony Narro (Stamford, CT) stole the ball from the Nyack defender and chipped a pass to Rodier in the 22nd minute of action.

Defender Matthew Shutter (Alpine, NJ) gave the Chargers a 2-0 lead at 54:38 as he headed the ball into the net off the corner kick from junior Alan Heavey (Huntington Station, NY).

Rodier tallied his second goal of the day in the 67th minute of action on a shot from inside the box off the pass from Alejandro Monsalve (Medellin, Colombia) to put DC ahead 3-0.

Sophomore midfielder Conor Glynn (Monroe, NY) recorded his first career goal on a shot from inside the five off the assist from senior James Flaherty (London, England) at the 82:54 mark for the final 4-0 DC victory.

Following the victory Dominican improves to 5-3-1 overall and 3-2-1 in the CACC.

DC is back in action on Saturday as they host Chestnut Hill College in a 2:30 pm contest at the DC Soccer Field.
