Orangeburg, NY (10/7/10) The Dominican College men's soccer team shut out the Knights from Queens College, 3-0, this afternoon at the DC Soccer Field in non-conference play.

Orangeburg, NY (10/7/10) The Dominican College men's soccer team shut out the Knights from Queens College, 3-0, this afternoon at the DC Soccer Field in non-conference play.
Freshman forward Jorge Zubillaga (Uruguay) netted the first goal of the game in the fifth minute of action after winning the ball off of a Dominican cornerkick deflection.
Sophomore forward Alex Rodier (Williamstown, NJ) netted his first of two goals at 15:01 on a shot from inside the 18 yard line to extend the Charger lead to 2-0.
Rodier scored his second goal of the day and seventh goal of the season at 62:45 as he gained possession of the ball as it bounced off of the post to give the Chargers the eventual 3-0 win.
Junior goalkeeper Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) recorded seven saves in the victory.
Following the victory, Dominican improves to 7-3-1 overall.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they host Wilmington University in a conference matchup that will be held at the DC Soccer Field at 2:30 pm.
