Rindge, N.H. (9/10/14) The Dominican College men's soccer team, ranked 10th in the NSCAA/Continental Tire East Region Poll, fell in non-conference action to host, Franklin Pierce University, 2-0, this evening in a game played at Sodexo Field.
The game was scoreless until the 50th minute when the Ravens (2-1) struck for their first goal. FPU added a goal in the 83rd minute of play for the eventual 2-0 victory.
Charger goalie Steven Hegner (Pomona, N.Y.) made four saves in the loss.
The Ravens held a slight 18-16 edge in shots and a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
FPU committed 14 fouls to the Charger's seven.
Following the loss, the Chargers are now 1-1 on the season.
Dominican will travel to Philadelphia University on Saturday in their opening Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game of the season.
