2019-20 Dominican College Men’s Tennis Summary
In their inaugural season, the men’s tennis squad unfortunately had their season cut short due to the COVID19 pandemic.
The Chargers were only able to compete in two tournaments, one in the fall and one in the spring under first-year head coach, Joseph Gravagna.
The team made their first appearance in the ITA East Regional Tournament in September. Junior Angel Lugo won his first single match and Marcos Lee won his second match following a first round bye.
In February, the Chargers returned to the court at the Ranger Doubles Tournament, hosted by Drew University. The team of Tanaka Chabata and Lugo won their first three matches but fell in the semi-finals. The duo of Skylar Ross and Julien Rauber won their first two matches before falling in the quarterfinals.
The rest of their season was cancelled due to the COVID19 pandemic.
