GRIFFINS EDGE MEN'S TENNIS

Pearl River, N.Y. (3/21/21) The Dominican College men's tennis team fell in their 2021 opener, 4-3, to the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at Cherry Brook Park.

Pearl River, N.Y. (3/21/21) The Dominican College men's tennis team fell in their 2021 opener, 4-3, to the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at Cherry Brook Park.

The doubles portion of the match belonged to CHC as they took the doubles point by winning two of the three matches.  In first doubles the Griffins won 6-1 and they took second doubles, 6-4.  In third doubles, the team of Julien Rauber (Mond de Marsan, France) and Angel Lugo (Baldwin, N.Y.) won by forfeit.

In singles, the Griffins won the first three matches before Marcos Lee (New York, N.Y.) got the Chargers on the scoreboard with the 6-4, 7-5 win.

Anthony Kwok (Floreal, Mauritius) followed with his first collegiate win in fifth singles with the 6-0, 6-4 win.

Rauber picked up the win by forfeit in the sixth singles spot.

Dominican returns to action on Thursday afternoon when they host Thomas Jefferson University.
