With the win, Dominican improves to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
DC picked up the doubles point with wins in two of the three matches. Guilherme Salim (Brasilia, Brazil) and Anthony Kwok (Floreal, Mauritius) defeated their opponents, 6-1 and Tanaka Chabata (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) and Qalib Bahadurali Ladhani won their match by default for the 1-0 lead.
Salim won his first singles match 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 to finish 2-0 on the day, while Marcos Lee (New York, N.Y.) earned the 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win to make the score 3-0.
Chabata won in third singles in two sets; 6-3, 6-2 and Kwok took his match in fifth singles by the scores of 6-2, 6-0.
Junior Angel Lugo (Valencia, Venezuela) came away with the 6-2, 6-3 win in fifth singles and Ladhani won sixth singles by default for the 7-0 win.
The Chargers return to action tomorrow when they host Chestnut Hill College.
