CHARGERS FINISH IN 13TH PLACE AT ARTIE O'CONNOR INVITATIONAL

New York, N.Y. (2/18/17) Members of the Dominican College men's track and field team traveled to the Artie O'Connor Invitational held yesterday at The Armory Track & Field Center where they finished in 13th place.

New York, N.Y. (2/18/17)  Members of the Dominican College men's track and field team traveled to the Artie O'Connor Invitational held yesterday at The Armory Track & Field Center where they finished in 13th place.

Freshman Wyatt Brooks (Suffern, N.Y.) took fourth place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.71 after qualifying with a fifth place finish in the preliminaries with a time of 8.72.

Seth Wilson (Monroe, N.Y.) took fourth place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.11.  Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 48th place after a time of 24.06 and Elijah Castro (Bergenfield, N.J.) took 64th place with a time of 24.77.  Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) ran a time of 24.80 to finish in 65th place.

Wilson took 12th place in the 60m dash preliminaries iwth a time of 7.08, while Pierre ran a time of 7.26 to finish in 22nd place and Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) finished in 34th place with a time of 7.46.

In the 400m dash, sophomore Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) finished in 15th place with a time of 50.93.

Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) ran in the 500m dash and finished in 10th place with a time of 1:11.30.

Jovan Zigic (Burnaby, British Columbia) ran in the 800m run where he took 13th place with a time of 2:00.60.

Sophomore Christopher Vaught (New Haven, Conn.) compted in the one mile run where he finished in 48th place with a time of 5:28.12.

Jumper Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) took 12th place in the long jump with a jump of 5.96m (19 feet, 6 inches) and 13th place in the triple jump with a jump of 12.71m (41 feet, 8 inches).
