CHARGERS TAKE PART IN LEHIGH GAMES
Bethlehem, Pa. (4/29/17) Members of the Dominican College men's track and field team traveled to the Lehigh Games held today and hosted by Lehigh University.
Sophomore Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) finished second in the 400m dash with a time of 49.30. Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 19th place with a time of 53.30.
Jovan Zigic (Burnaby, British Columbia) took third place of section six in the 1500m event with a time of 4:17.48.
In the 100m dash, Seth Wilson (Monroe, N.Y.) won the event with a time of 10.87. Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) ran a time of 11.23 to finish in fifth place. Elijah Castro (Bergenfield, N.J.) took seventh place with a time of 11.34. Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y. finished in 15th place with a time of 11.98.
Junior Adam Klein (Nanet, N.Y.) finished in 50th place in the 800m dash with a time of 2:12.50.
George Psarakis (Monroe, N.Y.) took part in the javelin throw where he finished in 18th place with a throw of 28.80m (94 feet, 6.25 inches). Psarakis finished 22nd in the discus throw with a throw of 29.15m (95 feet, 8 inches) and in the shot put with a throw of 10.17m (33 feet, 4.75 inches).
Justin Estevez (Nanuet. N.Y.) competed in the triple jump where he finished in 11th place with a jump of 12.00m (39 feet, 4.50 inches).
