ADAMS WINS HIGH JUMP AT 24TH ANNUAL MONMOUTH SEASON OPENER

Monmouth, N.J. (3/30/19)  Freshman Brandon Adams (Highland Mills, N.Y.) won the high jump event at the 24th Annual Monmouth Season Opener with a jump of 1.94m (6 feet, 4.37 inches) held today on the campus of Monmouth University.

Senior Andrew Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 10th place in the 100m dash with a time of 11.17 and Dylan Roadarmel (New City, N.Y.) took 36th place with a time of 12.53.

In the 200m dash Pierre ran a time of 22.95 to take 19th place and Lowell Pierrette (Elmsford, N.Y.) finished in 28th place with a time of 23.62.  Adams took 33rd place with a time of 23.85 and Patrick Bateman (Pearl River, N.Y.) finished in 41st place with a time of 24.33.

Senior Michael Merced (Pearl River, N.Y.) competed in the 400m dash with a time of 50.54 to finish in 12th place.  Batemen took 32nd place with a time of 53.69 while Justin Estevez (Nanuet, N.Y.) finished in 37th place with a time of 54.31 and Rollens Florvil (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 40th place with a time of 54.78.  Freshman Andrew Thomas (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a time of 57.09 to finish in 50th place.

Pierrette also took part in the 110m hurdles where he finished in 12th place with a time of 16.41 and the long jump with a jump of 6.02m (19 feet, 9.00 inches) to finish in 19th place.

The 4x100m relay team of Adams, Pierrette, Roadarmel and Pierre finished in ninth place with a time of 43.52.
