EVANS , LAUREDENT AND RIBIERO PLACE THIRD AT WOLVERINES LAST CHANCE MEET

Newark, N.J. (4/30/21) Dominican College men's track and field members, Ezra Evans (Greensboro, N.C.), Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) and Lawrence Ribiero (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) all took third place in their respective events at the Wolverines Last Chance Meet held today.

Results

Newark, N.J. (4/30/21) Dominican College men's track and field members, Ezra Evans (Greensboro, N.C.), Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) and Lawrence Ribiero (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) all took third place in their respective events at the Wolverines Last Chance Meet held today.

Evans had a time of 11.62, his fastest time of the season, in the 100m dash for the third place finish.  Evans also competed in the long jumpe where he tied for sixth place with a jump of 6.54m (21 feet, 5.5 inches and  seventh place in the 200m dash with a time of 23.35

Lauredent had his third place finish in the triple jump event with a jump of 14.15m (46 feet, 5.25 inches).  He also took fifth place in the 100m dash with a time of 12.01 and tied for sixth place in the long jump with a jump of 6.54m (21 feet, 5.5 inches).

Ribiero had his high finish in the hammer throw event with a throw of 26.91m (88 feet, three inches) for the third place finish.  He had a 12th place finish in the shot put event (9.45m=31 feet) and competed in the discus throw where he took 16th place (22.17m= 72 feet, 9 inches).

Freshman Olatunji Adweole (North Plainfield, N.J.) took 11th place in the 200m dash with a time of 24.01 and 10th place in the 400m dash with a time of 53.76.

Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) and Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.) both also took part in the 200m dash where they finished in 12th and 13th place respectively with times of 24.20 and 24.26.

In the 400m dash, Jaylen Cruz (Middletown, N.Y.) had the high finish for the team as he took eighth place with a time of 53.30.

Cameron Whitton (Monroe, N.Y.) competed in the 800m run where he had an eighth place finish with a time of 2:12.75.

Also competing in the long jump event was Hector DeLorenzo (Ridgefield Park, N.J.) where he placed 12th with a jump of 6.12m (20 feet, 1 inch).

The field events saw Louis Rodriguez (Monroe, N.Y.) take 10th place in the shot put with a throw of 10.56m (34 feet, 7.75 inches) and 15th place in the discus  with a throw of 23.49m (77 feet, 1 inch).

Teammate Vincent Faison (Chester, N.Y.) had a 15th place finish in the shot put with a throw of 7.94m (26 feet, 0.75 inches) and a 17th place finish in the discus with a throw of 18.29m (60 feet).
