GUERRERO TAKES THIRD PLACE AT WEST POINT TUNE UP

Results

West Point, N.Y. (2/21/26)  The Dominican University New York men's track and field team competed today at the West Point Tune Up Meet.

Sophomore Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero had the high finish of third place in the 60m hurdles, while Aaron Williams took fourth place in the 200m dash.

Results

  • Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero had the high finish of third place in the 60m hurdles finals with a time of 8.71.  In the prelims, he had a first place finish with a time of 8.59.
  • The 200m dash saw Aaron Williams finish in fourth place with a time of 22.23.  Christopher Rodriquez Gonzalez took 19th place (24.17), followed by Eliezer Rosario in 24th place (24.41), Tyler Colebrook in 25th place (24.42), Aidan Mallon in 34th place (26.02) and Brandon Yrrizarry in 44th place with a time of 28.36.  GianLuca Saggio finished in 46th with a time of 31.88.
  • Williams took sixth place in the 60m dash finals with a time of 7.02.  In the prelims of the event, Williams took seventh place with a time of 7.10.  Rosario finished in 23rd place with a time of 7.50, while Jayden Bryan placed 29th with a time of 7.55.  Guerrero took 32nd place with a time of 7.57 and Mallon finished in 38th place with a time of 7.65.
  • In the 400m dash, Samuel Fileen took seventh place with a time of 53.09.  Gonzalez finished in 13th place with a time of 54.50 and Colebrook followed in 14th place with a time of 54.64.  David Castro ran a time of 55.36 to take 17th place and Jameel Richardson took 20th place with a time of 56.63.  Sam Anthony Samala finished in 21st place (57.04) and Connor Grable took 24th place (58.30).
  • The shot put event saw Saggio take ninth place with a throw of 11.62m (38' 1.5").
  • Prince Copeland finished in 10th place in the 800m event with a time of 2:06.23 and Fileen took 13th place with a time of 2:08.81.  Deshawn Douglas ran a time of 2:15.40 to finish in 18th place.
  • The mile run also saw Douglas take 10th place with a time of 4:43.29.  Copeland took 17th place with a time of 4:51.80, while Aidan Nelson finished in 25th place with a time of 5:02.27.  Zachary Dertinger ran a time of 5:23.74 to take 37th place and Eslian Henriquez Flores finished in 39th place with a time of 5:29.33.
  • Richardson took 12th place in the long jump with a jump of 5.13m (16' 10").
