DOMINICAN WINS FOUR EVENTS AT THE VASSAR APRIL TWILIGHT

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (4/25/26) The Dominican University New York men's track and field team won four events at the Vassar April Twilight Meet held today and hosted by Vassar College.

The team picked up victories in the 400m dash, the triple jump, the 4x400m relay team and the 400m hurdle events.

Dominican also had nine other top five finishes on the day.

TOP FIVE FINISHES

Tyler Colebrook won the 400m dash with a personal best time of 49.65. Samuel Fileen took fourth place with a time of 50.99.
Anthony Ramos won the triple jump event with a jump of 13:05m (42-09.75).
The 4x400m relay team of Prince Copeland, Christopher Rodriguez Gonzalez, Fileen and Colebrook won the event with a time of 3:34.96. The team of Deshawn Douglas, David Castro, Sam Anthony Samala and Connor Grable took second place with a time of 3:47.00.
Colebrook also won the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.95. Nickoy Henry followed with a time of 1:00.42 to finish in third place.
Senior Aidan Nelson took second place in the steeplechase with a time of 10:54.14.
The shot put saw GianLuca Saggio take second place with a throw of 12.67m (41-07.00).
Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero had a second place finish in the 110m hurdles with a season time of 15.60.
Saggio also competed in the discus event where he took second place with a throw of 37.75m (123-10).
In the 4x100m relay, the team of Eliezer Rosario, Henry, Jayden Bryan and Colebrook had a season best time of 44.19 to take second place.
Ramos had a third place finish in the long jump with a jump of 6.38m (20-11.25).

FINISHES

Gonzalez finished in ninth place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.58.
The long jump also saw Jameel Richardson have a jump of 5.31m (17-05.25) to finish in 11th place. Jonromiel Peralta took 16th place with a jump of 4.93m (16-02.25).
Douglas took 12th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:02.19, while Copeland finished in 21st place with a time of 2:05.17.
Samala took 19th place in the 400m dash with a season best time of 54.39. Castro took 20th place with a time of 54.39. followed by Grable (55.53) in 25th place and RIchardson (1:00.47) in 30th place.
The 5000m run saw Zachary Dertinger take 19th place with a personal best time of17:32.74.
In the 100m dash, Rosario finished in 23rd place with a time of 12.26. Bryan followed in 26th place with a time of 12.37.
Eslian Henriquez Flores competed in the 1500m run where he finished in 35th place with a time of 5:12.36.
