NELSON TAKES MEDALS IN STEEPLECHASE AT CACC TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lakewood, N.J. (5/2/26)  The Dominican University New York men's track and field team took seventh place at the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Track adn Field Championships held yesterday and today at the GCU Track and Field Complex and hosted by Georgian Court University.

Senior Aidan Nelson medaled in the 3000m steeplechase to have the high finish for the Chargers.

The team had five fourth place finishes and one fifth place finish.

FRIDAY RESULTS

  • Anthony Ramos took seventh place in the long jump with a jump of 6.43m.

SATURDAY RESULTS

  • Nelson had a third place finish inthe 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:31.23.
  • The high jump saw Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero take fourth place with a jump of 1.81m.
  • Guerrero also had a fourth place finish in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.67.
  • Ramos finished fourth in the triple jump with a jump of 13.31m.
  • Freshman Tyler Colebrook took fourth place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.24.
  • Colebrook also took fourth in the 400m dash with a time of 48.62.
  • The discus throw saw GianLuca Saggio take fifth place with a throw of 38.56m.
  • The 4x400m relay team of Deshawn Douglas, Samuel Fileen, Christopher Rodriguez Gonzalez and Colebrook ran a time of 3:24.60 to finish in sixth place.
  • In the 4x100m relay team of Eliezer Rosario, Nickoy Henry, Fileen and Colebrook had a sixth place finish with a time of 43.28.
  • Saggio took ninth place in the shot put with a throw of 12.24m.
