MEN'S VOLLEYBALL SPLITS SEASON SERIES WITH STAC
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/10/26) The Dominican fell to the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College tonight in East Coast Conference (ECC) action on Coach Baxter Court.
The Chargers split the season series with STAC and fall to 6-17 overall and 2-3 in conference play. The Spartans improve to 11-12 overall and 4-1 in the ECC.
STAC opened the match with a 25-22 win in the first set. Dominican bounced back in the second set with a 25-18 victory after capping off the set on a 10-3 run.
STAC went ahead early in the third set and rolled to a 25-16 win for the 2-1 advantage before finishing off the 3-1 victory after taking the fourth set 25-16.
Dominican was led by Phinehas Wiley who picked up a team-high 12 kills. Tommaso Falchi added 10 kills, 12 digs, and three total blocks.
Ayden Shaw, Luke Gavin-Ruple, and Hunter Paio each recorded six kills. Paio also picked up three block assists.
Jaiden Wilcox added a team-high 36 assists while adding two service aces. Senior Alejandro Miranda led the way in digs with 15.
Prior to tonight's match, the Chargers held their Senio Day as they honored Senior Alejandro Miranda with a pregame ceremony.
Dominican returns to action next Saturday when they wrap up the 2026 regular season on the road against American International College.
