New Haven, Conn. (1/30/26) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference has named 12 men and 20 women to its 2025 Cross Country All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced today. The 32 athletes recognized come from 10 conference member institutions.
Dominican University had one runner named to the men's all-academic team: David Castro.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of their team's meets or run in the CACC Championship race.
Georgian Court University led the conference with four men's honorees. Thomas Jefferson University and Wilmington University each placed four student-athletes on the women's list. Combined, the Lions, Rams and Wildcats claimed six total honorees apiece. The complete sets of winners can be viewed at the links above.
Wilmington University's Carter Sparwasser owns a perfect 4.00 GPA, the only male on this year's list to accomplish that feat. He is joined by seven such females, including Wildcat teammates Tiffany Banning, Amy Chomo, Angie Chomo, and Maddie Minnick. Also meeting all criteria and attaining 4.00 GPAs were Kara Sampath of the University of Bridgeport, Georgian Court's Brenna Sullivan, and Danalee Brock of Holy Family University.
The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
