SOFTBALL MOVES UP IN EAST REGION RANKINGS

Orangeburg, NY (4/21/10) The Dominican College softball team moved up to the seventh spot in this week's NCAA Division II East Region Rankings as was announced by the NCAA today.

Orangeburg, NY (4/21/10)  The Dominican College softball team moved up to the seventh spot in this week's NCAA Division II East Region Rankings as was announced by the NCAA today.

The Lady Chargers have been ranked all season thus far in the regional polls.  Previously, the team has been ranked eighth and ninth. 

Dominican posted a 4-0 record last week, which included a double-header sweep of Georgian Court University, who was ranked fifth in last week's rankings.  The team now stands at 25-11 overall.

DC remains one of three teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in the East Region poll.  Caldwell College is currently ranked fifth, while Georgian Court University dropped to the eighth spot in the poll.
