SOFTBALL SLIPS TO EIGHTH IN NCAA EAST REGION RANKINGS

Orangeburg, NY (5/5/10) The Dominican College softball team slipped one spot in this week's NCAA Division II East Region Poll as was announced by the NCAA today.

Orangeburg, NY (5/5/10)  The Dominican College softball team slipped one spot in this week's NCAA Division II East Region Poll as was announced by the NCAA today.

Dominican has been ranked all season in the East Region with as they held the highest ranking of seventh place in last week's poll.

The Lady Chargers posted a 3-1 record last week to now finish the regular season with an overall record of 33-13 and a CACC record of 23-3.  DC finished as Co-Champions of the CACC Regular Season with Caldwell College and earned the top seed in the upcoming conference Tournament.

DC remains one of three teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) in the East Region poll.  Caldwell College is currently ranked fourth, while Georgian Court University slipped to ninth in the poll.
