WOMEN'S TRACK ATTENDS RICHARD STOCKTON INVITATIONAL

Pomona, NJ (3/20/11) The Dominican College women's track team attended the Richard Stockton Invitational which was held yesterday at Richard Stockton College. DC competed in five events at the invitational and took second place in the distance medley event.

Pomona, NJ (3/20/11) The Dominican College women's track team attended the Richard Stockton Invitational which was held yesterday at Richard Stockton College. DC competed in five events at the invitational and took second place in the distance medley event.

Sophomore Sharrika Brent (Brooklyn, NY) took 21st place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:13.28, while Michelle Brito (Washington Heights, NY) finished in 23rd place with a time of 1:19.38.

Freshman Amanda Castro (New Rochelle, NY) took 18th place in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:57.37.

Keyla Cruz (Bronx, NY) took part in the 1500 meter run and finished in 27th place after running a time of 6:25.07.

In the 3000 meter run event, junior Samantha Klunk (York, PA) and Jessica Avila (Mount Vernon, NY) finished in seventh and eighth place respectively with times of 11:43.93 and 11:52.11.

In the distance medley, the Lady Chargers finished in second place with a time of 14:09.44.
