LADY CHARGERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CACC WITH VICTORY OVER FELICIAN COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (1/17/09) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 7-7 overall and remained undefeated at 5-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) after defeating visiting Felician College, 66-52 this afternoon on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

The Lady Chargers were red hot at the charity stripe, outscoring the Golden Falcons by 10 points, where they shot an oustanding 96% for the game after converting 23 of 24 attempts. Junior guard Rachelle Sainten (Spring Valley, NY) was a perfect 10 for 10 for DC, while teammate Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY) went 8 for 8.
Felician jumped out to an early 17-7 lead but Dominican charged back to take a 28-26 lead at the break. The Golden Falcons fought back down seven points in the second half to tie the game with 14:21 to go, but was never able to get the lead as freshman guard Kaity Lent (Vineland, NJ) hit a three point basket on the next possession and the Lady Chargers went on to the 66-52 victory.
Chambers led all scorers with 20 points, while Sainten finished with 17 points off the bench in the win. Lent went 4-7 from beyond the three point arc to net 12 points and senior center Shalissa Burgess (Englewood, NJ) led the team with nine rebounds.
Janelle Biamonte (Secaucus, NJ) had 15 points for the Golden Falcons and Crystal Reed (Paterson, NJ) scored eight points with 10 rebounds in the loss. (2-13, 1-5).
With the loss Felician falls to 2-13 overall and 1-5 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Holy Family University in CACC women's hoops action. Game time is set for 6pm in Philadelphia, PA.
