Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) added 20 points in the win for Dominican, as it won for the 12th time in a row after the opening the season with a loss to Georgian Court in the Wellness Center back on Jan. 28. Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) was the Lady Chargers other double-figure scorer with 13 points.

Dominican shot 48 percent (31-of-65) from the field, while on the defensive end, forcing GCU into 25 turnovers. The all-around effort helped the Lady Chargers shake off a slow start to the game which saw them trail, 9-0, early on.
The Lady Chargers opened the second quarter on a 7-0 surge to turn a 22-18 deficit into a 25-22 lead. Jasmine Gee (Englewood, N.J.) and Tomlinson each sparked the rally with a basket. Tomlinson and Gee were both named to the CACC Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team, and were joined on the squad by Suarez and Latimer.
The Lions fought back to go up, 29-27, midway through the second, but Dominican scored 14 of the final 22 points of the frame to take a 43-35 lead into halftime. The Lady Chargers would never trail the rest of the way.
Suarez hit a layup early in the third to push Dominican's advantage out to double-figures at 50-39, and would eventually build an 18-point lead late in the game on the way to the win.
