WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LOSE TO GOLDEN FALCONS IN SERIES FINALE
Rutherford, N.J. (2/11/26) The Dominican University New Yrok women's basketball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Felician University, 70-41, this evening in a game played in Job Gymnasium.
Following the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 5-18 overall and 3-12 in conference play.
The first quarter saw the Lady Chargers trail 10-4 with 5:35 left, but the team would go on an 8-2 run to tie score at 12-all. A Sky Priester layup with 2:15 remaining in the quarter gave Dominican a 14-12 edge at the end of one quarter of play.
Felician's offense awoke in the second quarter as they outscored Dominican, 18-7, and they took a 30-21 advantage at the intermission.
A strong third quarter and fourth quarter for the Golden Falcons propelled them to the victory.
Junior guard Isabella Javier led two Lady Chargers in double figures with 16 points.
Priester finished with 10 points and three assists, while freshman Ketura Rutty pulled down a team best seven rebounds, six points and three steals.
Freshman Leticia Watson scored five points and Tamia Nunes had five boards in the loss.
Dominican will host Thomas Jefferson University this coming Saturday afternoon in the 25th Annual Sue Heller Memorial Game.
