HOWARD EARNS THIRD ALL-MET ACCOLADES

Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/15/26)  Cayla Howard of the Dominican University New York women's basketball team has been named to the All-Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Second Team as was announced today.

The senior guard earns her third consecutive All-Met honors after previously being named to the First Team in 2024 and to the Second Team in 2025.  Howard closed out her career at DUNY with three All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) selections.

She was fiftth in the conference in blocks, 9th in free throw percentage and three-point field goals made and 11th in scoring, despite missing eight games with an injury.  She averaged 12.8 ppg, which led the Lady Chargers, and 5.5 rpg.

Howard finishes her career with 1,432 career points, 601 rebounds, 138 steals, 115 assists and 101 blocks.  She sits sixth all-time in program history in scoring.
