WOMEN'S BOWLING TAKES FIRST AT CACC MEET #1
New City, N.Y. (11/9/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team hosted CACC Meet #1 this weekend at New City Bowl in New City, N.Y.
Dominican finished first overall in the team standings with an 8-2 overall record for the tournament. The Lady Chargers now hold an overall record of 26-13 on the season.
Day One: In the traditional matches on day one, the Lady Chargers finished with a 4-1 record and were sitting in second place in the team standings by the end of the day.
Dominican won their first four matches posting scores of 869-875-824-918 and defeated Wilmington University, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, and Holy Family University.
In the final traditional match of day one the top two teams in the team standings, Dominican and Felician University faced off. The match came down to the 10th frame where the Golden Falcons topped the Lady Chargers 1,019-977 as they took over first place.
Sophomore Stephanie O'Malley was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers in the individual standings as she placed fourth overall. O'Malley finished with a total pinfall of 923 and averaged 184.60 on the day. Her high score came in the final match against Felician which was a 214.
Junior Caroline Dillon and sophomore Kyra Walter each finished in the top ten by each recording an 891 total pinfall and a 178.20 average. Dillon's high game was a 213 in match four while Walter rolled her high game of a 204 in the final match.
Redshirt sophomore Angelina Tati took 11th place with a total pinfall 881 while freshman Jenna Jump finished in 12th place with a total pinfall of 877.
Jump's high game was a 186 in the opening match while Tati finished up with a 237 game in the final match with Felician which was a team-high for the day.
Day Two: Teams returned to action for the baker matches on day two.
Dominican entered day two in second place and went 4-1 in the baker matches which propelled the Lady Chargers to first place in the team standings and an 8-2 overall record for the weekend.
Dominican earned wins against Caldwell University, Wilmington University, Holy Family University, and Felician University.
Chestnut Hill College edeged the Lady Chargers in the final match of the day by a score of 760-755.
Dominican returns to action on Friday, November 21st when they open the Garden State Classic from Howell Lanes hosted by Monmouth University.
