O'MALLEY FINISHES IN FIRST PLACE IN INDIVIDUAL STANDINGS, LADY CHARGERS FINISH SECOND AT CACC MEET #2
Elmwood Park, N.J. (3/1/26) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team placed second at the second CACC meet of the season hosted by Felician University at Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, N.J.
Dominican finished with a record of 8-2 in the two days which brings their overall record to 67-32 on the season.
Day One: Dominican opened the meet with a 4-1 record in the traditional matches opening the day with four straight wins and fell to Caldwell in the final match of the day by a score of 863-859.
The Lady Chargers picked up wins against Chestnut Hill College, Wilmington University, Felician University, and Holy Family University with their highest score on the day coming against Felician with was 1,009.
Dominican finished day one in second place and had a total pinfall of 4,579 in the five traditional matches.
The Lady Chargers had three bowlers finish in the top 10 of the individual standings.
Sophomore Stephanie O'Malley took first place in the individual standings after averaging 211.60 over five matches and posted a total pinfall of 1,058. O'Malley posted scores of 191-209-257-207-194. O'Malley's 257 tied a team-high with sophomre Kyra Walter who placed third. Walter had a total pinfall of 1,036 and averaged 207.20 with scores of 257-177-215-204-183.
Angelina Tati took 10th place with scores of 184-198-201-144-184 which adds up to a total pinfall of 911 and an average of 182.20.
Jenna Jump finished in 18th place with a total pinfall of 818 and an average of 163.60. Jump rolled a high game of 179 in game two. Caroline Dillon finished in 20th place with a high game of 166 and a sum average of 151.20.
Day Two: Day two saw the Lady Chargers fall to Caldwell University 857-768 in the first of five baker matches.
Dominican bounced back and won the next four matches against Holy Family University, Chestnut Hill College, Wilmington University, and Felician University to finish the weekend 8-2.
The Lady Chargers posted a high score of 956 in the baker matches against Holy Family and finished the weekend in second place.
The Lady Chargers return to action next Saturday and Sunday for the Northeast Roundup.
