SCHEDULE SET AS CACC WOMEN'S BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP NEARS
New Haven, Conn. (3/18/26) The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference will hold its 2026 Women's Bowling Championship tournament this weekend, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara has announced. The four-team, double-elimination event will be hosted by Chestnut Hill College on Saturday and Sunday, March 21-22, at Pike Lanes in Southampton, Pa.
Tournament information is available at the CACC Championship Central web page at https://caccathletics.org/tournaments/?id=29. The qualifiers and seeding for the event were determined by two regular-season conference tournaments and announced earlier this month.
The CACC Women's Bowling Championship is contested in a "mega-match" format. A mega-match is a best-of-three competition in which the same two schools stage a five-player traditional match, a five-game Baker match, and if necessary, a best-of-7 Baker match.
Competition begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with first-round matches. No. 1 seed Dominican University New York (67-32, 16-4 CACC) will face No. 4 seed Wilmington University (21-56, 6-14) while, simultaneously, No. 2 seed Caldwell University (39-21, 15-5) will match up against No. 3 seed and defending champion Felician University (63-39, 14-6). All four teams will return to action at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the first-round winners facing each other as well as the first-round losers. Sunday will begin with an elimination match at 8:30 a.m., followed by the championship round at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets for each day of the 2026 CACC Women's Bowling Championship are $10 for adults and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification. Children under three years of age will be admitted free. See the Championship Central link to follow the tournament online and purchase tickets and championship apparel.
The CACC is sponsoring a championship in women's bowling for the fourth year. Caldwell won both the 2023 and 2024 conference titles prior to Felician capturing last year's crown. The winner of the CACC Championship tournament will qualify automatically for the 2026 NCAA National Collegiate Bowling Championship.
