LADY CHARGERS WIN THRILLER OVER GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (9/20/08) Freshman midfielder Jennifer Joyce (Ocean Grove, NJ) netted the game winning goal two minutes into overtime to lift the Dominican College Lady Chargers to a 2-1 victory over the visiting Goldey-Beacom College Lightning this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) womens soccer action.

Senior Shannon Harding (Marlton, NJ) gave DC a 1-0 lead late in the first half with her first goal of the season.
The Lightning tied the game at 1-1 when freshman Ashley Longo (Wilmington, DE) netted an unassisted goal at 60:03.
Joyce struck for the game winning goal at 92:00 minutes for her first goal of the season.
The Lady Chargers out shot the Lightning 11-9.
Valentina Sturchio (Stewartsville, NJ) had three saves in the net for Dominican, while Goldey-Beacom keeper Kristin Degenhardt (Secaucus, NJ) had five saves in the loss.
With the win Dominican improves to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the CACC, while Goldey-Beacom College falls to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action next Sunday as they host Holy Family University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer action slated to begin at 2:00 pm at the SUNY-Purchase Turf Field.
