LADY CHARGERS SOCCER TURNS BACK BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE

Bloomfield, NJ (9/29/09) Junior midfielder Margaret Porter (Neptune, NJ) recorded her first hat trick of the season as she netted all three goals in a 3-0 victory over host Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon.

Bloomfield, NJ (9/29/09)  Junior midfielder Margaret Porter (Neptune, NJ) recorded her first hat trick of the season as she netted all three goals in a 3-0 victory over host Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this afternoon.

Porter's first goal came in the 12th minute of action as she knocked in the ball off the cross from freshman Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ).

DC took a 2-0 advantage at 55:04 as Porter tapped in a goal off the dish from senior Rosa Centurion (Mamaroneck, NJ).

Porter tallied her third goal and her team leading 11th of the season at 78:45 off a rebound as the Lady Chargers went on to the 3-0 victory.

Dominican controlled the offense, outshooting the Deacons 28-12 and held a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.

DC goalie Valentina Sturchio (Stewartsville, NJ) had six saves in the win.

With the victory Dominican improves to 5-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in the CACC.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Chestnut Hill College in CACC action.  Game time is 1pm.
