WOMEN'S SOCCER CHARGE PAST CONCORDIA COLLEGE

With the victory Dominican improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the CACC, while Concordia falls to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

The Clippers took an early 1-0 lead on a goal just 2:27 seconds into action and extended their lead to 2-0 almost eight minutes later.
DC got on the board as sophomore forward Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ) netted her second goal of the season at 22:35 off the assist from senior Kristen Haycook (Point Pleasant, NJ) to cut the deficit to 2-1.
The Lady Chargers exploded for six unanswered goals to account for all the scoring in the second half to rally to the 7-2 victory. Freshman Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) and sophomore Rachel Romanowski (Lacey Township, NJ) netted back-to-back unassisted goals just about ten minutes apart to give Dominican the lead at 3-2.
Antonopoulos netted her second goal of the game and her fourth of the season in the 64th minute of action off freshman's Brenna Aiossa (East Brunswick, NJ) first career collegiate assist to give DC a two goal lead.
Freshman Mackenzie Riley (Zanesville, OH) tallied her first two collegiate goals in the 82nd and 87th minute of play off Aiossa's and Haycook's second assist of the day for a 6-2 lead.
The game's final goal came at 88:57 as Romanowski recorded her second goal of the game and third of the season for the final 7-2 Lady Charger victory.
Lady Charger keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) tallied five saves in the victory.
Dominican outshot Concordia, 30-10 and held a 12-1 advantage in corner kicks.
DC is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Georgian Court University in a CACC contest scheduled to begin at 1pm in Lakewood, NJ.
