CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE DEFEATS WOMEN'S SOCCER
Orangeburg, NY (10/2/10) The visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College defeated the Dominican College women's soccer team, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game held at Tappan Zee High School.

Chestnut Hill got on the board in the 13th minute of play as freshman Marykate McShane (Lebanon, PA) got the cross off the corner kick from Lauren Riiff (Clementon, NJ) for the early 1-0 lead.
Dominican tied the contest at 41:29 as freshman midfielder Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, NJ) netted her first collegiate goal after the indirect kick by Rachel Romanowski (Lacey Township, NJ) to make the score 1-1.
The Griffins netted the both goals in the second half as Riiff gave CHC a 2-1 edge at 66:37 off the throw in assist from Shannon Catts (Elmer, NJ). Riiff notched her second goal of the day in the 88th minute of action off a deflection by the keeper.
DC held a 15-10 edge in shots.
Lady Charger keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) made five saves in the loss.
With the loss Dominican now stands at 5-3 overall and 3-3 in the CACC, while Chestnut Hill improves to 7-1-2 overall and 6-0-1 in conference play.
Dominican is back in action on Monday when they host Bloomfield College at 3:30 pm at the DC Soccer Field.
