WOMEN'S SOCCER LOSES TO QUEENS COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (10/16/10) The visiting Knights of Queens College defeated the Dominican College women's soccer team 4-2 this afternoon in a non-conference match held on the DC Soccer Field. Following the loss Dominican now stands at 7-5 overall, while Queens improved to 9-5.
Orangeburg, NY (10/16/10) The visiting Knights of Queens College defeated the Dominican College women's soccer team 4-2 this afternoon in a non-conference match held on the DC Soccer Field. Following the loss Dominican now stands at 7-5 overall, while Queens improved to 9-5.
Queens held a 1-0 lead until the 52nd minute of action when senior Kristen Haycook (Point Pleasant, NJ) netted a goal off the free kick assist from Rachel Romanowski (Lacey Township, NJ) to tie the game at 1-1.
The Knights went on to score three consecutive goals to regain a 4-1 lead until freshman Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) broke the run with a goal at 89:19 on a through bal for the eventual 4-2 Knight victory.
Lady Charger keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) made seven saves in the net in 84:43 minutes of play. Veronica Iozzi (Chester, NJ) game in to play the final 5:17 minutes.
DC is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Felician College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game scheduled for 7pm.
