WOMEN'S SOCCER FALL TO PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY IN DOUBLE OVERTIME
Philadelphia, PA (10/23/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell in double overtime to host, Philadelphia University, 3-2, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. With the loss Dominican falls to 8-6 overall and 5-5 in conference play.

Philadelphia, PA (10/23/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team fell in double overtime to host, Philadelphia University, 3-2, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. With the loss Dominican falls to 8-6 overall and 5-5 in conference play.
Freshman forward Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) opened up the scoring in the game with her team leading 10th goal of the season at the 20:48 mark.
The Rams tied the contest with a goal late in the first half for a 1-1 score at the break.
Philadelphia took a 2-1 advantage at the 80:48 mark, but the Lady Chargers tied the contest in the 87th minute of action as freshman Mackenzie Riley (Zanesville, OH) recorded her fourth goal on the year off a pass from Antonopoulos.
After a scoreless first overtime period, the game entered into the final ten minutes and saw a Ram goal in the 103rd minute for the 3-2 Philadelphia victory.
Rookie keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) made eight saves for DC in the loss.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday as they host Nyack College in a CACC game where the Lady Chargers will honor their three seniors on the DC Soccer Field at 3:30 pm.
