Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/20/25) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team fell in conference action to the Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon on O'Brien Field.
The Wildcats, #16 nationally and #2 regionally in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, defeated the Lady Chargers 5-0 to improve to 4-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers fall to 1-3-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play after the loss.
DU goalkeeper Stella Paton made five saves but suffered the loss. Arianna Myers and Isabella Mazzone split time in net for WILMU. Myers picked up the win and one save while Mazzone recorded five saves.
WILMU held the edge in shots 21-11. Eboni Bradshaw, Cayley Winters, and Laila Williams each scored one goal in the first half. Evelyn Payne picked up the assist on the first goal.
The Wildcats added two more goals in the second half to extend the lead after Maria Leguizamon and Payne each scored. Winters and Sierra Bartley each picked up an assist.
For the Lady Chargers, Shelby Parks and Jessie Maraia combined for seven out of the 11 shots taken. Parks recorded three on goal while Maraia recorded two on goal. Kendall McGregor added one shot on goal.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back next Wednesday when they host Lincoln University for a CACC contest on O'Brien Field at 3:30 PM.
