LEBON SCORES TWICE AS LADY CHARGERS DEFEAT LIONS FOR FIRST CACC WIN
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/24/25) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team picked up their first conference win of the season this afternoon over Lincoln University on O'Brien Field.
The Lady Chargers netted one goal in the first and two goals in the second to secure the 3-0 victory to improve to 2-3-2 overall and 1-2 in the CACC. Lincoln (Pa.) falls to 0-4-1 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers scored the first goal of the game after Jessie Maraia took a pass from Nicholette Brunner into the box and roofed the shot into the top left corner of the net for the 1-0 lead.
The score remained until the 52nd minute in the second half after freshman Asia Lebon scored her first career goal after her corner kick was deflected back to her off of a defender.
Lebon scored her second goal of the game in the 62nd minute after the ball rolled past the keeper and Lebon shot into the empty net. Amara Landon and Jessie Maraia picked up the double assist.
DU keeper Stella Paton picked up her second win of the season and made two saves. Lincoln (Pa.) keeper Nevaeh Washington made seven saves but suffered the loss.
The Lady Chargers fired 20 total shots in the win including 15 shots in the first half. Emily Rath, Asia Lebon, and Shelby Parks each led the way with three shots.
The Lady Chargers continue conference play on Saturday when they visit Thomas Jefferson University.
