MCGREGOR'S SECOND HALF GOAL EARNS A DRAW WITH FELICIAN
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/8/25) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team tied the Golden Falcons of Felician University in conference action this afternoon on O'Brien Field.
Trailing 1-0, sophomore forward Kendall McGregor scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the second half to even the score at 1-1 which would eventually be the final score.
The Lady Chargers now hold a record of 3-4-3 overall and 2-3-1 in conference play. The Golden Falcons now hold a record of 2-3-5 overall and a conference record of 0-1-4.
Felician keeper Isabella Riollano made four saves while DU keeper Stella Paton made one save.
The first goal of the game was scored in the 15th minute when Sierra Moretta cleaned up a loose ball just outside of the box and found the back of the net.
The score remained 1-0 until the 56th minute when McGregor fought her way close to the net as she beat a defender and scored on a sharp angle shot that beat the keeper right of the net.
Down the stretch, both teams had chances to take the lead but time would run out and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The Lady Chargers fired 22 total shots with 12 coming in the second half. Jessie Maraia led DU in shots with six. McGregor, Emilie Stochkel, and Penny Knott each took three shots.
Dominican returns to action this Saturday when they host the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College for a CACC contest at 12:00 PM on O'Brien Field.
