DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY NEW YORK DISCONTINUES WOMEN’S TENNIS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/5/26)  The Dominican University New York Athletic Department, along with Dominican Administration, have decided after careful deliberation and a thorough review process, to announce the discontinuation of Dominican University New York Women's Tennis, effective immediately.  

"This was not an easy decision," said Director of Athletics, Joseph S. Clinton.  "I would like to thank and acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes and coaches who participated in the women's tennis program."

Dominican University will continue to sponsor 18 varsity sports in the 2025-2026 school year.

The aim of Dominican University New York is to promote educational excellence, leadership, and service in an environment characterized by respect for the individual and concern for the community and its needs.
