LADY CHARGERS TAKE PART IN WAGNER COLLEGE INVITATIONAL

Staten Island, N.Y. (3/28/15) The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Wagner College Invitational held today at Wagner College.

Staten Island, N.Y. (3/28/15)  The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Wagner College Invitational held today at Wagner College.

Sophomore Khadijah Cox (New Milford, N.J) had the top finisher for the Lady Chargers as she took second place in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.97.

Felicia Walker (Bronx, N.Y.) took 10th place in the 100 meter dash as she finished with a time of 13.84.  Erica Pate (Bronx, N.Y.) ran a time of 13.99 to finish in 13th place.

Pate finished in 13th place with a time of 30.23 in the 200 meter dash.

Freshman Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) had the high finish for Dominican in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:07.47, while sister Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) took 13th place with a time of 1:08.12.  Teammate Andrea Zuluaga (North Bergen, N.J.) ran a time of 1:16.52 to take 21st. place.

Emily Lopez (Staten Island, N.Y.) ran the 1500 meter run in a time of 5:45.15 to take 13th place.

The Lady Chargers also competed in the 4x100 meter relay where they finished in third place with a time of 52.92.  The team consisted of Cox, K. Koeder, Pate, Walker.

A team also competed in the 4X400 meter relay where they finished in sixth place with a time of 4:54.02.  The team consisted of Jamie McGinn (Philadelphia, Pa.), K.Koeder, I.Koeder and  Zuluaga.

In the shot put event, Simonne Moore (Bronx, N.Y.) took ninth place with a final throw of 8.98m (29 feet 5.5 inches).  Brittany Austin (Highland Millls, N.Y.) finished in 11th place with a throw of 8.71m (28 feet 7 inches).

Dominican is set to be in action on April 11th at the Rider Invitational.
