Monmouth, N.J. (2/9/19) Members of the Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Monmouth University Winter Collegiate Invitational held on the campus of Monmouth University.
Junior Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in 14th place in the 60m dash with a time of 8.66. Freshman Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) ran a time of 9.07 to take 24th place and Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.) took 26th place with a time of 9.25. Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) rounded out the scoring with a time of 9.49 to finish in 28th place.
Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) competed in the 200m dash where she finished in 14th place with a time of 28.61 and Jean-Pierre took 19th place with a time of 29.08. Freshman Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) ran a time of 30.09 to place 24th, while Ndiaye took 30th place with a time of 31.26 and Hammond finished 32nd with a time of 32.74.
Jemedy also ran in the 400m dash and finished in 12th place with a time of 1:09.06 and Joseph-Jarvis took 14th place with a time of 1:10.22.
In the 800m senior Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) took 24th place with a time of 2:45.77.
Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) took 14th place in the shot put event with a throw of 10.17m (33 feet, 4.5 inches) and Auguste finished in 16th place with a time of 9.36m (30 feet, 8.5 inches).
