Monmouth, N.J. (3/30/19) Members of the Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the 24th Annual Monmouth Season Opener held today at Monmouth University.
The 4x100m relay team of Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.), Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.), Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) and Djzamina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) had the high finish of 10th place with a time of 52.35.
Freshman Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) had the finish of 13th place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 19.72.
Junior Jean-Pierre took 30th place in the 100m dash with a time of 13.52, while Hammond finished in 41st place with a time of 14.44 and Ndiaye finished in 42nd place with a time of 14.54.
Sprinter Jemedy ran in the 100m dash where she had a time of 27.39 to finish in 28th place and Jean-Pierre took 49th place with a time of 28.71.
Jemedy also competed in the 400m dash where she finished in 34th place with a time of 1:03.85 and Joseph-Jarvis took 49th place with a time of 1:06.66.
In the 800m run, freshman Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) ran a time of 2:39.12 to finish in 38th place, while Marissa Murphy (Bethpage, N.Y.) took 42nd place with a time of 2:49.62 and Megan Childs (Huntingdon, Pa.) had a time of 3:00.44 to finish in 44th place.
Junior Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) took part in the 1500m run where she finished in 45th place with a time of 5:50.35.
In the high jump, Ndiaye finished in 19th place with a jump of 1.42m (4 feet, 7.90 inches).
Thrower Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) took 19th in the shot put with a throw of 10.22m (33 feet, 6.36 inches) and Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) finished in 25th place with a throw of 9.08m (29 feet, 9.48 inches).
