Trenton, N.J. (4/8/19) Members of the Dominican College women's track and field team traveled this past Saturday to the TCNJ Invitational held on the campus of The College of New Jersey.
Sophomore Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.) finished in 14th place in the 200m dash with a time of 26.67. Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) took 49th place with a time of 28.02, while Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) ran a time of 30.37 to finish in 84th place.
In the 100m dash, Jean-Pierre took 24th place with a time of 13.44, while Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.) finished in 53rd place with a time of 14.31. Hammond had a time of 14.50 to take 56th place, while Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) finished in 65th place with a time of 15.07.
Jemedy took 20th place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.17 and Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) finished in 44th place with a time of 1:07.91.
Junior Megan Childs (Huntingdon, Pa.) competed in the 1500m run where she took 45th place with a time of 5:56.89.
Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) finished in 27th place in the 3000m run with a time of 12:33.34.
In the 100m hurdles preliminaries, Hammond finished in 25th place with a time of 19.03.
The 400m hurdles saw freshman Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) finish in 31st place with a time of 1:19.69.
The 4x100m relay team of Jean-Pierre, Ndiaye, Joseph-Jarvis and Jemedy ran a time of 53.12 to finish in eighth place, while the 4x400m relay team of Joseph-Jarvis, McCormack, Jean-Pierre and Jemedy took 20th place with a time of 4:35.44.
Sophomore Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) took 13th place in the shot put event with a throw of 10.55m (34 feet, 7.5 inches) and Auguste took 30th place with a time of 8.74m ( 28 feet, 8.25 inches).
