New Haven, Conn. (4/28/19) The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the Yale Springtime Invitational held today and hosted by Yale University.
The 4x100m relay team of Adji Ndiaye (Bronx, N.Y.), Cheneda Jemedy (Brockton, Mass.), Desiree Joseph-Jarvis (Livingston, N.J.) and Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) had the high finish of fourth place with a time of 52.00.
Freshman Ann McCormack (Pearl River, N.Y.) took sixth place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:21.22.
Jemedy had the high finish of seventh place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:03.50. Joseph-Jarvis took eighth place with a time of 1:08.67, while Marissa Murphy (Bethpage, N.Y.) finished in ninth place with a time of 1:10.37.
Jemedy also took part in the 200m dash and finished in eighth place with a time of 26.50.
The shot put finals saw Zaria Hankins (Ossining, N.Y.) finish in eighth place with a throw of 10.72m (35 feet, 2 inches) and junior Judy Auguste (Westbury, N.Y.) took 10th place with a throw of 9.15m (30 feet, 0.25 inches)
In the 100m hurdles, freshman Jada Hammond (Nyack, N.Y.) finished in 11th place with a time of 19.19.
The 100m dash saw Jean-Pierre finish in 11th place with a time of 13.48. Ndiaye took 17th place with a time of 14.31 and Hammond finished in 18th place with a time of 14.60. Auguste ran a time of 15.13 to finish in 22nd place.
In the 800m run, junior Megan Childs (Huntingdon, Pa.) finished in 19th place with a time of 2:53.61.
Junior Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) ran in the 1500m run where she took 26th place with a time of 6:07.06.
