WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD WIN FOUR EVENTS AT MSMC KNIGHT INVITE
Newburgh, N.Y. (4/12/26) The Dominican University New York women's track and field team won three events today at the MSMC Knight Invite.
Freshman Isabella Mack won the 100m dash and long jump, while Jayda Jones took home the 200m dash title.
Rachel Reagan won the 5000m run.
TOP FIVE RESULTS
- Mack won the 100m dash with a time of 13.22, while Jones took second place with a time of 13.37 and Tiara Cargill finished third with a time of 13.42. Gabrielle Books finished in fifth place with a time of 13.83.
- In the 200m dash, Jones won the event with a time of 27.48. Cargill finished in second place with a time of 27.53.
- Mack also won the long jump with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) qualifying jump of 5.02m (16' 5.75"). Chiara Rosamilia took third place with a jump of 4.52m (14' 10").
- The 5000m run saw Reagan take the event with a time of 26:45.90.
- In the triple jump, Rosamilia finished second with a jump of 10.08m (33' 1").
- Veronica Valentik had a second place finish in the shot put with a CACC qualifying throw of 10.74m (35' 3"). Julissa Velasquez finished third with a throw of 10.00m (32' 9.75").
- Kiana Thomas finished in second place in the 400m hurdles with a CACC qualifying time of 1:11.14.
- Valentik took second place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:02.56, while Anjalice Arias finished in third place with a time of 1:07.19.
- The 800m event saw Sarai Cruz take second place with a time of 2:36.76
- Tori Benson took thid place in the discus event with a throw of 31.21m (102' 5"), while Velasquez finished in fourth place with a throw of 30.85m (101' 2").
RESULTS
- Benson took sixth place in the shot put event with a throw of 9.34m (30' 7.75").
