Rutherford, NJ (9/30/10) The Dominican College women's volley team turned back host Felician College, 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-18) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match held at Job Gymnasium this evening.

The Lady Chargers never trailed in the match as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead in set one. In set two, the team turned a 13-10 lead into a 21-10 advantage en route to the 25-19 win and in set three with only a 17-15 edge, DC won eight of the final 11 points for the 25-18 set win and 3-0 match victory.
Dominican sophomore Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) recorded 29 assists and 10 digs, directing the Charger offense to a .269 attack percentage. Fellow sophomore Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) hit .571 for Dominican (7-12, 4-2) with match highs of 14 kills and three blocks. Senior Catherine Giordano (Stony Point, NY) tallied seven kills and 11 digs, while Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) had eight kills in the victory.
With the win Dominican improves to 7-12 overall and 4-2 in the CACC.
DC is back in action on Saturday when they host Chestnut Hill College in a 12pm CACC contest on Coach Baxter Court.
