WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL CHARGES PAST NYACK COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/19/12) The Dominican College women's volleyball team charged past the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 3-0, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 7-7 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/19/12)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team charged past the visiting Warriors of Nyack College, 3-0, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.  With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 7-7 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

Dominican jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the first set and led by as many as nine points as they outscored the Warriors 7-3 over the last 10 points in the 25-16 win.

Set two saw the Lady Chargers open with the first six points and once again led 10-6 early on.  At set point, freshman Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) recorded the big kill for the 25-12 win.

DC led 23-11 in the final set when the Warriors went on a 5-1 run to make the score 24-16.  Junior Randi Garrett (Rockledge, Fla.) tallied the game winning kill off the set from Whitney Ranger (Ventura, Calif.) for the 25-16 win and 3-0 match victory.

Dexter led all attackers with eight kills. 

Garrett finished with six kills, while Ranger recorded 21 assists.

Senior Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, N.Y.) had 10 defensive digs, while Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) finished with nine digs.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday at the Hennessy Center against Georgian Court University.
