(11/11/14) The Wilmington University Wildcats, the second seed in the South Division, upended the Dominican College Lady Chargers, the third seed in the North Division, 3-0 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal match played at the WU Athletics Complex.

(11/10/14) The Wilmington University Wildcats, the second seed in the South Division, upended the Dominican College Lady Chargers, the third seed in the North Division, 3-0 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarterfinal match played at the WU Athletics Complex.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers end the season with an overall record of 16-9.
The Wildcats won the match in three straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-23.
Sophomore outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) led all attackers with 22 kills and had a career high 26 defensive digs. She also posted a .328 attack percentage.
Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) had a team high 21 assists, while Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) had 14 assists and six kills in the loss.
Senior Kayla Dexter* (Selah,Wash.) had five kills and two block assists and Cortney Yeoman (Glenn Dale, Md.) also had five kills. and a team high .364 attack percentage.
As a team, the Lady Chargers had an attack percentage of .122 in the first set, a .244 attack percentage in the second set and a final set attack percentage of .205.
Down 2-0, the Lady Chargers opened the third set with a 8-4 advantage when Wilmington went on a 6-2 run to knot the set at 10-10. Later tied at 21-21, the 'Cats scored three straight points to be at match point, 24-21. A kill from Kayla Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and a service ace from Keely Fink (Lagrangeville, N.Y.) bought DC to within a point, 24-23, but a WU kill gave them the 25-23 victory and 3-0 match win.
Wilmington advances to the CACC Tournament Semifinals which will be held on Friday afternoon on the campus of Georgian Court University.
