VOLLEYBALL DEFEATED BY GREYHOUNDS IN FOUR SETS
Worcester, Mass. (9/11/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell to the Greyhounds of Assumption University from the Andrew Laska Gymnasium in Worcester, Mass.
The Lady Chargers fall to 0-4 overall on the season while the Greyhounds earned their first win of the season and improved to 1-5 overall.
The Greyhounds opened the match with back to back wins in the first two sets outscoring DU 50-24.
Dominican bounced back in the third set as they jumped out to an early lead and overcame a 9-0 run by the Greyhounds by scoring the last four points for the 25-23 victory to extend the match to the fourth set.
The Greyhounds completed the 3-1 victory after taking the fourth set by a score of 25-15.
Trinity Parkin led DU in kills with nine while also adding one service ace and one solo block for a total of 11 points. Parkin also provided five digs.
Gabriella Broadus and Haile Comeau combined for 25 digs. Reagan McCullough picked up a team-high 17 assists while adding eight digs.
Layla Shipley recorded seven kills while Kylie Flynn added six digs.
The Lady Chargers continue their weekend road trip tomorrow night when they visit St. Michael's College for a non-conference match at 7:00 PM.
