Every thirty seconds a child in Africa dies from Malaria which is carried by mosquitoes. Bed nets are the cheapest and most effective way of fighting Malaria and one bed net can last a family up to four years.
The Nets for Nets program is a partnership between Catholic Relief Services and Dominican College and was brought to campus by Sister Arlene Flaherty, '74 who is the Northeast USA Liaison for Justice and Peace with Catholic Relief Services. Tickets for the Chargers' games are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
