West Chester, PA (3/18/06) West Chester University extended its winning streak to five straight games with a sweep of Domincan (NY) College on Saturday afternoon at Serpico Stadium.

West Chester University extended its winning streak to five straight games with a sweep of Domincan (NY) College on Saturday afternoon at Serpico Stadium.

In the opener, Domincan scored eight runs over the final two innings, but West Chester hung on for a 12-11 victory. The Golden Rams scored four runs in the second, and then two runs in each of their final four at-bats.

Senior outfielder Mike Zani (Goshen, NY) went 3-5 in the loss, scoring two runs.  Catcher Peter Gilardo (Cornwall, NY) went 1-2 with an RBI.

Tom Keegan (Dickinson City, PA) had a pinch hit, two run homer in the seventh and Jose Escalera (Bronx, NY) added a three run home run later in the inning.

Nick Schreiber (Greencastle, PA) suffered the loss, allowing eight hits in four innings.
